Amanda Bouldin is a multidisciplinary artist.

Inspired by anime, comics, fantasy/sci fi book covers, and pop culture her art reflects playfulness and an escape from reality. Amanda’s portrait art leans towards influences such as Frida Khalo (sp) and Margaret Keane (sp).

She has worked in the professional art field for over a decade. In Detroit she worked for the Parade Company where she specialized in antique Italian paper mache restoration, as well as sculpting styrofoam, painting large scale props and scenery, and wood work. She also worked as an interactive entertainer painting on the go portraits for several Renaissance Festivals. Her next profession would find her airbrushing and repairing life sized dinosaur statues in the wilderness of Kentucky and Florida. Currently Amanda is an interior designer with IKEA, utilizing her skills as an artist, a builder, and an all-around jack of all trades to create inspiration for people’s daily lives.

Amanda brings a rare combination of fine art sensitivity and large-scale production experience. She is comfortable moving between detailed portrait work and physically demanding fabrication, adapting quickly to new environments and materials. Years of hands-on problem-solving in restoration, scenic construction, and commercial design have made her highly self-directed, deadline-driven, and collaborative. She thrives in creative teams that value craftsmanship, versatility, and a willingness to take on whatever a project requires.
